My name is Sofia Gallo. My brother, Enzo, and I are starting a GoFundMe account because this year has started so painfully for us, especially for our mom, Maryanne, and dad, Archie.
My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer on December 23rd, 2020 . My dad was diagnosed with stage four chronic kidney disease and has since been on in-home dialysis treatment starting June 2020. My mom's radiation is still pending due to covid. Two weeks ago both my parents tested positive for Covid-19, and they have been in the hospital for over a week due to Covid-related complications.
My father’s condition has deteriorated rapidly, and he is now in the ICU on a ventilator. He suffers from pneumonia and is now experiencing septic shock and multiple organ failure. He then was pronounced dead on March 6th, 1:17am. My mother has difficulty breathing without supplemental oxygen. My grandmother, Vita, who was also diagnosed around the same time, now has pneumonia, similar to Enzo.
We ask for your help because our entire family suffers from Covid and we need your support. With both my parents in the hospital, and Enzo and I unable to work because we are also ill, we have fallen behind on rent and bills.
