Last night (5/17/21) a fire ripped through the family home completely destroying the garage and the fourth bedroom that was located inside the garage which unfortunately, was the bedroom of two of the teenaged girls including my daughter. Between the fire, water, and smoke damage it seems as if everything is a total loss. I'm starting this GoFundMe because this is the home of my ex-husband Ricky Gabriel Jr, where two of my children reside half the time. Also in that home lives his fiance and her four children. Thankfully those that were there made it out safely thanks to the quick actions of a next door neighbor who saw the smoke and flames and quickly acted. The family dog was able to be rescued, however the family cat and her six kittens perished in the fire. There are seven children total that reside in that home ranging in ages from 3 all the way up to 18 who are now left with nothing but the clothes on their backs. I'm reaching out to the community for help during this traumatic and devastating time. Anyone who knows Ricky, knows that he is a very active member of the community and has been a long time sports coach for not only his children but others as well. He has never hesitated to help someone out in need, whether that be a place to stay or even something as simple as a meal. But now he and his family are the ones in need of help. So please if there's any way that you are able to help out it would be very much appreciated.
