Welcome to The Front's 10th anniversary campaign!

My name is Glen Hutcheson, and I've been a member of the gallery the whole time. I'm really proud to be part of the group: we've had more than fifty member artists over the years. All members contribute to the gallery in many ways, dividing the responsibilities of running the business. Each of us spends part of a weekend every month staffing the gallery, welcoming tourists and locals, school groups and families, talking and enjoying looking at art together.

At ten years old, The Front is the longest-lasting commercial fine art gallery Montpelier has ever had. Fine art sales don't cut it alone here: we artist-owners have all paid regular membership dues. The gallery has always managed to pay its bills with those dues and a small commission on sales, but we've struggled from the beginning. This year, sales numbers fell off a cliff.

You can help! If you value the presence and energy of The Front in Montpelier, please chip in. We're hoping to build a small cushion of savings to make up for the decrease in art sales and ease the burden on our members. We love Montpelier and being part of our arts community. With your support, we hope to keep going for at least another ten years.
