Help the Friskey Family Rebuild After Devastating Loss
Donation protected
Yesterday, my Mom (Nancy), Brother (Henry), Sister-in-law (Lisa) and their 3 youngest children (Brianna, Miranda and Camden) set out on what was to be a great adventure to relocate to South Carolina. They had packed all their belongings into a trailer and in advance of the closing on their new home, dropped the trailer in the driveway of the home to be there for them when they closed on Monday. Upon arrival at the house they found the trailer had been stolen along with almost all of their clothes, toys, furniture, and precious memories in the forms of photos and other possessions.
Upon contacting the police, they discovered the police had recovered the trailer earlier that morning. The trailer was found on fire left in the middle of the road about 30 minutes from their new home. Everything in the trailed is a total loss. Our entire family is devastated for them as this was supposed to be a joyous new beginning for all of them.
I've been contacted by many people who have heard about their situation and want to know how they can help so I've created this page for anyone who wants to assist them in rebuilding their life and home.
They have been blessed through a victim's assistance program in the county where they are moving who provided all of them with clothing, toiletries, shoes, blankets, school supplies and some toys last night. We will also be setting up an Amazon Wish List for them to post items they need/want (let's face it, the kids lost all their toys and they are kids after all). I figured if anyone wanted to provide items for them being out of state, Amazon purchases can be shipped directly to them. The Amazon list "Wish list for Friskey Family" can be searched for using the name Henry Friskey in Loris, SC and will be updated soon with items as they determine what they need.
Thank you to anyone who wants to assist them. For those who know our family, you know we are very close and it was hard enough for them to move away in the first place. It is breaking our hearts to feel so helpless when they need us the most.
