Please support the FREE Hull Folk and Maritime Festival 2022

After two years without a festival due to the pandemic, the Hull Folk and Maritime Festival will be back later this year, and we need your generous support!

Putting on a significant free festival requires a lot of funding; we will have stages, sound equipment and artists' to pay for.

The festival takes place over the weekend of the 9th to 11th of September 2022, and it will dovetail nicely with the National Heritage Week, which follows our event.

There will be a mix of stages: the Dan Thomas Memorial stage outside the Minerva, the Spare Hands Stage on the historic Syntan barge along the Marina, and, this year, we will also be staging a Folk play with music inside Humber Street Social.
Last but not least, we will have traditional dancing displays adding colour and vibrancy to our festival and all around the city centre and Marina.

Last year, our much-missed friend and colleague, Dan Thomas, set up a GoFundMe account and, through your generosity, raised £714.79, for which we are very grateful. As last year's festival was cancelled at short notice due to the Covid pandemic, the money raised by Dan’s funding page will go towards this year's festival.

Folk in Hull is a registered charity (no 1169292), and all of our work is carried out by a small but dedicated team of volunteers. We hope you can donate, no matter how small, to help us make the Hull Folk and Maritime Festival 2022 a great success!

Thank you
