Hello! We are the Fowlers and as many of you who will see this know, we have been struggling with housing and food insecurity for about 6 months.

Our apartment complex decided not to renew our lease and didn't tell us at all. We found out in March from another resident and had to be out at the beginning of May, so we had very little time to find something and no money saved, because we lived paycheck to paycheck anyway. We have been essentially couch surfing since the end of April and moved in with family about a month ago. Unfortunately, about a mouth and a half ago, our car also broke down due to a fault in the engine that was not because of anything we did. The warranty is taking care of replacing our engine, but it has been about a month since we dropped it off at the dealership and it has not been fixed yet.

Our issues started because of some circumstances out of our control and we have been unable to keep up for months due to more and more unfortunate issues occurring. Our family and friends have been very gracious and helpful, but we have asked so much of them already.

At this point, we are coming to the community for help getting caught up. It is our goal to have our car back within the next 2 weeks, start doing instacart again to supplement, and keep looking for work in our new town to start ASAP. However, some bills have gotten behind and we are worried about certain things being canceled or lost. For example, if our car insurance isn't paid by the 11th of October, we will have no way to pay any other bills or even get to a job that we get.
