Hi, my name is Mallory, and I’m one of Megan’s closest friends, a close friend of the Foster family, and the President of Marulan Public School’s P&C.

I’ve had the privilege of knowing Megan, Matt and their beautiful family for many years, and I’m organising this fundraiser with the support of our P&C Association, Marulan Public School and wider community following the devastating house fire that has left the Foster family without their home and belongings.

As someone who knows this family personally, I’ve seen firsthand the love, generosity and strength they share with those around them.

Megan and Matt are usually the first to volunteer, donate and support others in need, but now they are needing our help after losing everything.

The young family is facing something they never imagined and did not deserve.

Thankfully Matt, Megan and the kids are all safe and no one was injured, but their family cat is missing, presumed dead. Along with their beautiful newly built home, their belongings, keepsakes, kids toys, clothes and furniture have all been lost.

Right now, our goal is to surround the Foster family with the same kindness and support that they have always shown to others, and help give them some stability as they begin the incredibly difficult process of rebuilding their lives.

We are asking for financial donations both big and small to put towards rebuilding their life, replacing items and assisting in finding somewhere to live while they figure out their next steps.

In times of crisis it’s people like the Foster’s who rally the community to support those in need. Now it is time for us to rally for them.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference to the Foster family as they navigate the days and months ahead. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser far and wide is just as valuable and can help us reach more people who may be able to support this beautiful family.

We know that we can’t replace what has been lost, but together, we can help take away some of the financial burden and give Megan, Matt and their children the opportunity to start rebuilding their lives and creating a new place to call home.
