Help the Forkner family to give Daniel Forkner a funeral.

My name is Drexil. I am raising funds to help pay for funeral arrangements for my father, Daniel Drexil Forkner, who died suddenly yesterday morning. He did not have any assets or life insurance, so my mom and I are paying for this completely ourselves, which apparently isn't cheap (over $300 just to pick up his body). My mother and I are already struggling horribly financially, so we're depending on my friends and family completely here. Anything you can do helps. The average funeral cost is around $7000 starting, but we're going as cheap as we can.

I want to put some info down about who my dad was when he was here, but my heart is still so broken I don't know what to say. He was a loving father of 5 brothers and a committed, loving husband to his wife, Valerie Forkner. He was a good Christian man who lived solely by his faith in God and always did his best to be there for other people in need, even if he didn't know them. He was the hardest worker i know. A cancer survivor. He taught me how to be a man and half of the person that you may know and love as being me, Drexil Forkner.

He didn't have many close friends in life but loved the ones he did. Same with family, he lived in a different state most his life than his family but always kept them in his heart and talked about them all the time. Sometimes it was hard to get to know him personally, but he held the weight of the world on his shoulders every day and did the best that he could. Please show him and us some kindness and help us through this very difficult time.

His widow, Valerie Forkner, is a senior living on very limited income and can't do this alone.

He is also survived by me, Drexil Forkner the 2nd, his brother Randy Forkner, his son Zachary Lyle, son Jeremy Lyle, son Wesley Forkner, son Josh Forkner, and father Drexil Forkner.
