Help the Folmar’s with Urgent Medical Expenses!

**Posting on behalf of my Aunt Kara & Uncle Adrain

For a few months, Adrain has had significant vision changes and about 2 weeks ago started experiencing intense headaches. The pain became unbearable, he was then taken to the emergency department where a CT scan was ordered that revealed no abnormalities.
Early Friday morning, Adrain woke up in such excruciating pain an ambulance had to be called - as his wife was out of town - and was taken to StoneCrest where he received another CT scan indicating a 3cm size mass on the right frontal lobe of his brain, touching the midline, and now pushing over into the left frontal lobe. He was transferred to Skyline Medical Center the same day to meet with a Neurology team that would take over his care and planned a biopsy for this morning (11/6/23).
The preliminary results revealed that it is NOT an infection as we have prayed for but most likely Glioblastoma, (an aggressive, often reoccurring, fatal brain cancer…) per the surgeon’s initial perspective, “due to the amount of swelling surrounding the tumor and the rapid growth within 12 days.”
From my Aunt: “We are overwhelmed and completely devastated to say the least. Please continue to pray for him, and us as a family while we navigate difficult decisions ahead of us. We also ask for privacy at this time. I will continue to update as information becomes available.”
Many people have reached out asking to assist or support in any way possible.
There is a significant need for financial help.
My Aunt Kara started a new job 2 months ago and currently has no FMLA available. My Uncle Adrain will have to take an extended leave of absence from his job, that only offers short term disability, when he will REQUIRE long term disability services and care. Additionally, they will both have to travel out of state in order to get the very BEST care to ensure the best possible outcome for this form of cancer due to its quick progression and how aggressive it is.
This fundraiser will go towards Adrain’s medical expenses, travel, car rental for Adrain’s comfort and safety during travel, food, bills while they are both out of work, out of pocket medical essentials due to being out of state, and any other essential resources that will help him as he fights this battle.
