Help the Flora Family in Erica’s Fight Against Breast Cancer

Donation protected
My name is MacKenzie and I, like many of you, have had the absolute honor getting to know Erica and the Flora family for many years now. ❤️

Just a few short weeks ago, Erica Flora went to see her doctor about some abnormal lumps in her right breast thinking that it was probably something related to breastfeeding. Unfortunately, she was shocked with the news that she was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (a very common form of breast cancer). It was found in both masses as well as her lymph node and it is grade 3.

Erica and Aaron have been some of the most generous people with their time and resources helping so many throughout our community. And now it’s time for us to step in and support them in a big time of need!

There are many unforeseen costs that can add additional financial pressure to a cancer diagnosis. We want to help lift the burden of this financial weight so they can focus on one thing: dominating this cancer fight!

Some of those we know ahead are:
  • Due to a specific diet, Erica is limited to specific foods, adding additional costs to grocery and/or flexibility of eating out
  • Costs associated with long chemo days + appointments
  • Extra care for their daughter Frankie while Erica heals
  • The additional costs that come with cold-capping
  • Wigs to help Erica feel more like herself
  • Additional medical expenses not covered by insurance
  • Items for their home to ensure ultimate comfort for the healing journey over the next 20+ weeks
  • & other means of offering relief in this season

A small donation, even just $20, can lessen the weight on their shoulders. Your support means everything during this time. You can stay the most up to date with Erica’s updates on her Caring Bridge, Linked Here.

Thank you for contributing to the Flora’s family peace of mind in this season!

If you are the praying type, here is a list of things from Erica she would love prayers for:

  • Continued peace and that we would not be overwhelmed by anxiety, fear, confusion and/or heaviness.

  • The cancer would remain contained and even begin being eradicated prior to the start of treatment.

  • My body would remain healthy and strong

  • The prescribed amount of medication as a part of this treatment would be just the right amount - not too much for my body and not too little.

  • Continued protected time with our family and friends as this has fed my soul

  • For Aaron to get what he needs to stay healthy, grounded and fully himself through this process.

  • For Frankie to be shielded from the heaviness of this road and would feel extra loved and nurtured through this process.
