Help the Fletcher Family Rebuild After the Cotulla Flood
There are families who quietly hold a community together. They don’t seek recognition, applause, or praise—they simply show up whenever they’re needed. The Fletcher family is one of those families.
The recent flooding in Cotulla, Texas, has left Greg Sr., Venissa, Greg Jr., and Gabrielle Fletcher with the devastating loss of their home. While material possessions can be replaced, the road to rebuilding a home is long and overwhelming. Today, it’s our turn to show up for a family that has spent years showing up for all of us.
Greg Sr., owner of Fletcher’s Handyman Service, has dedicated countless hours to preserving the history and character of our town. Through his craftsmanship, he has helped restore many of Cotulla’s treasured landmarks, including the Black Brush Courtyard, Ben’s Historic Western Wear, and the historic Swisher House across from First Baptist Church. His work has helped preserve the places that make Cotulla feel like home.
His children have followed in those same footsteps of service.
Gabrielle Fletcher is often the very first face visitors and hunters see when they arrive at the Cotulla Airport. She welcomes everyone with kindness, professionalism, and genuine South Texas hospitality, helping ensure every guest leaves with a great impression of our town. When she’s not working at the airport, she’s right beside her father and brother helping with restoration and construction projects through the family business.
Greg Jr. works alongside his father every day, helping build, repair, and restore homes and businesses throughout our community. Together, they have quietly improved the lives of countless families through their hard work and dedication.
Venissa Fletcher pours her heart into the children of our community through her work at the Learning Center, caring for young children with patience, compassion, and love. She also faithfully serves First Baptist Church of Cotulla by coordinating Vacation Bible School each year, giving countless hours of her time to create a safe, joyful, and meaningful experience where children from across our community come to learn about Jesus.
The Fletcher family has never asked for recognition. They have simply lived a life of service, always willing to lend a helping hand wherever it was needed.
Now, they need ours.
Every donation—no matter the size—will go toward helping the Fletcher family rebuild their home and begin recovering from this unimaginable loss. If you’re unable to give financially, please consider sharing this fundraiser and keeping the Fletcher family in your prayers.
Cotulla has always been a community that takes care of its own. Let’s come together and remind the Fletcher family that the same love, generosity, and compassion they’ve shown others for so many years will now be returned to them.
Thank you for helping this incredible family begin rebuilding not only their house, but the place they call home.
