Help the Flagstone firefoxes get to Gladstone
Donation protected
Hi Everyone,
Each year the Flagstone State Community college enters an international competition called FIRST LEGO League. This competition introduces science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) to children ages 4-16 through fun, exciting hands-on learning through the use of robotics and coding. It brings together a team of 10 students who work tirelessly after school hours for the entire year headed by an inspiration teacher, Mr Scott Glass, who volunteers his time to support the students in this field.
Previous students in this team have moved onto engineering roles and some working in the Aerospace industry.
This years team, The FLAGSTONE FIREFOXES, recently competed at the regional competition in Marsden and were overall regional champions and go into the national championships in Gladstone Qld on the 25th November having also won the highest score in Australia, placing them in the top 10 in the world. As a community minded person within Flagstone, I am helping to raise funds for these wonderful upstanding young adults to further their passion in the STEM program. All funds raised will go directly to the team to help them get to Gladstone with the opportunity to reach the international competition. Any donation you can spare will be greatly appreciated.
