Hi, my name is Amber and I created this GoFundMe for my close friends Josh and Josie Figueroa. On the evening of September 8, 2025, Josh and three of his four children were involved in a terrifying car accident that could have ended in tragedy. While driving home from football practice, a reckless driver speeding and weaving through traffic slammed into their vehicle on State Road 54. The Figueroas' car spun multiple times, even hitting another vehicle before finally coming to a stop.

Inside the car were Josh, Julian, Jocelyn, and Jalina. In those terrifying moments, their community stepped in to help pull the kids to safety. Jalina was trapped under the driver’s seat, and it took several tense minutes before she could be freed. Thankfully, by the grace of God, everyone survived, but they are shaken, in pain, and facing an uphill battle.

The family’s only vehicle was completely destroyed. In addition to the urgent need for a replacement van that can safely fit their family of six, all of the children’s car seats must also be replaced, and a rental van will be necessary in the meantime so they can continue getting to work, school, and practices. Josh, who has been a professional driver for over a decade, fully intends to return to work, but he is still navigating the trauma from the crash and the recovery process. This has created an immediate hardship as they face medical bills, the cost of a new family van and car seats, the expense of a rental van, and the uncertainty of what comes next.

Josh and Josie are hardworking, devoted parents who always put their four children first. Now they need our support more than ever. Every donation will go directly toward securing a rental van, replacing their family’s only vehicle with a safe van, purchasing new car seats for their children, covering medical expenses and recovery costs, and supporting their kids’ needs during this difficult transition.
