Hello everyone. My name is Bree Tanner, and this is something I have never done.
My sister, Mandee, and her husband Josh have four kids. Two of these sweet muffins have had a very hard time this past couple of weeks. Teague and Cayde are twins and have grown up in the rodeo world. They just turned 13 and are amazing at football, wrestling, and especially bull riding. This is where things go hard. A couple of weeks ago, Teague rode his bull, and before he could get up, was stomped by the 1200 pound animal straight on the chest. Teague died on the arena floor for several minutes. Luckily, Josh and Mandee were close, and Josh immediately performed CPR on Teague, reviving him enough to get him to the hospital via ambulance. Teague was in the hospital for three nights and four days, miraculously surviving what the medics on site thought was sure to be death. Teague has five broken ribs, a partially collapsed lung, and a bruised heart. He is so sweet and is healing, but it's a long road.
This is not the end of the story.
Two weeks prior to Teague's mishap, Cayde also flew off a bull, landing on his wrist and snapping his arm. He had to go to three different doctors to get this break looked at, and this led to a pretty awful surgery on his arm that he had a hard time with and healing from.
These are the sweetest boys you can imagine. Both are at the top of their league in bull riding, and this was one heck of an awful chain of events, and the family is struggling to pay the ENORMOUS hospital bills from both of these accidents.
As mentioned at the beginning, Mandee and Josh have four kids. Corra will be a senior this year, and is Larimer Country Fair and Rodeo Queen; she team pens, she is sweet as sugar, and is so smart. Jax will be a sophomore and is the funniest and most protective kid I know. Mandee is an elementary teacher and Josh is a supervisor at an excavation company. This family does everything they can to give back to the community and is such an integral part of the rodeo world that is quickly dwindling. They are not asking for help. I am.
If you can help at all with Teague and Cayde's situations, this family will be more than grateful. If you have any questions about their situation or the family, please let me know.
Thank you for your time, your thoughts, and your prayers.
