My Name is Shelby Fass, I lost my Roy, my husband and Best friend of 26 years, father to our three kids and PopPop to our 2 grandbabies yesterday 12/21/24 unexpectedly. He had been sick the last 2 1/2 months and was admitted into the hospital 11/25/24. They worked on trying to figure out what was happening to him. They found that he had a condition called MIS-A that they believed was caused by covid. That was dormant until he got sick with the colitis at the end of October, that started to attack his kidneys. He was recieving dialysis everyday in the hospital. The hospital needed beds and he wanted to come home too. So he was discharged home 12/18/24. I believe there were a lot of mistakes made and neglect on both the hospital, and dialys center. The hospital of corse ruled it natural but I believe it was caused by some of their neglect. So they won't perform an autopsy. I am trying to come up with enough $ for a private autopsy as well. He had been out of work since hurricane Helene, then getting sick right after with colitis he was let go bc he didn't qualify for FMLA as he wasn't there quite a year. So I am behind on all of our normal bills. As we didn't have any final expense insurance or any plans made. I want to be able to give him the service and send off he deserves. Any amount big or small will help me and our children give him the dignity and respect he deserves and if anything is left over it will go to help our family while navigating through their grief. This has been tremendously hard on our kids, and has been one of the most devastating Christmases of our life. To loose him 4 days before christmas when all we wanted was to spend it together ❤️ I love you babe! Me and the kids are being strong for you the best we can. This will never be a goodbye but a see you later!
