Help the Farmhouse - For James and Chandie

Welcome to the farmhouse

Hello, I'm Chandie with my husband James and children. I hate asking for help, but I guess this is a need at this point.

My husband is a full-time truck driver, and I work at a clinic. We have raised five kids in this home, and it is just that—a home, loud, fun, and with an open-door policy to everyone. We have hosted hockey players for 7 years, taking in as many as 6 at a time so they would have a place to call home when they are away from their real home. Over 150 kids have passed through this house in that time.

This spring, we had flooding in the basement. Unfortunately, it caused more damage than was anticipated. We just received a letter that insurance won't cover the damage, and we have to do it ourselves. That means lifting the house and redoing the whole basement. We used all our savings to start but are running out of time and money. I know times are hard for everyone, and would appreciate any help that everyone can offer. We hope this home can continue to be one of joy to everyone that passes through. Thank you. We are looking at Oct 1st to be done - no amount is is to small everything is a blessing.
