Most of you know us and our situation with our son. We have had a LONG journey this last 5 months trying to balance our lives with all of our things happening with Drajten. We have been so fortunate to have the support from all those around us and we cannot say thank you enough. Unfortunately to add insult to injury our van was stolen from Ronald McDonald House in Kansas City. We do not foresee getting it back in a good running condition so that brings us to this circumstance now. We absolutely hate to ask for any kind of help but with Drajtens circumstances and our children in general we are coming to see if there is any help available for replacing our van. The goal I am setting is just a rough guesstimate on the type of vehicle we will need to have for our family. If anyone can help us we will truly be grateful but even if you are unable we understand as things are just hard anymore in these times. Ultimately we just hope to get a vehicle that will support our family and bring us home when we are released from the hospital.

For those who do not know the situation our son Drajten was born on March 30th with a diaphragmatic hernia and truncus arteriosis. With the diaphragmatic hernia his left lung did not develop properly and now he has a tracheostomy tube with a ventilator in order to breathe properly. Within the first week after being born he had to get surgery to repair the diaphragmatic hernia, soon after he had to get open heart surgery to repair the truncus arteriosis. Now he has one more open heart surgery coming up and we should be able to come home. This time has been trying and we truly could not get through it without the amount of love and support of those near and far.
