My name is Linda Rexford, and I am the sister of William and Adam Rexford. We are the children of Gerald and Donna Rexford. On New Year’s Day, our family experienced an unimaginable tragedy when both of my brothers were shot by state troopers in Fairbanks, Alaska.
William, who was suffering from a mental health crisis, was killed. He was only 24 years old. William was a CNA who loved helping people and dreamed of becoming a nurse. He was the sweetest soul—an incredible brother, son, and uncle. He leaves behind nine siblings and many nieces and nephews who adored him. Our family is devastated by his loss.
Adam was shot in the head during this same incident and was medivaced to Seattle. He survived emergency brain surgery and is now recovering, but he faces additional surgeries and a long, difficult road to recovery. Adam has four children—ages 5, 8, 11, and 17—with his partner of 20 years, Nikki, and they will need ongoing support during this incredibly challenging time.
My brothers deserved so much better than this.
We are raising funds to help cover William’s funeral expenses, Adam’s medical care, and the many unexpected costs our family is facing as we navigate this tragedy.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the love, support, and kindness you have shown our family. If you feel that you can donate we thank you. Please continue to keep us in your prayers.
