This fund has been established to provide some financial support to the family of Rafael, a long-time and well-known janitor in our building at Genentech in South San Francisco who passed away unexpectedly on Monday February 20th. 

I head two of the departments located in the building where Rafael worked.  This fundraising campaign is primarily directed to employees at Genentech who want to assist Rafael's family.  Funds collected will be given to Rafael's wife to help with family needs during this difficult time.

Participation in this fundraising effort is entirely voluntary.
