Help the family of Officer James Strozyk

Greetings, my name is Darren Kane (friend and direct supervisor to Jim) and I am asking for donations to assist the family of James (Jim) Strozyk. Jim passed away on Wednesday, October 13th as a result of Covid-19 complications. First and foremost, it should be said that Jim was a strong family man who was proud to support and love his family in every way possible. Jim would be mortified that I set this up to assist his family. Jim was never the one to accept help from others, which is a trait he seems to have instilled into his surviving family. However, Jim is no longer with us and I feel it is my duty to ensure that his family is taken care of in his absence. Jim was ALWAYS the first one to assist those around him, whether on duty as a Columbus Police Officer or just generally being a caring person to those around him. Sadly, Jim is the first (and only) CPD officer to succumb to Covid-19. I won't get into the financial implications of his passing, but I feel concerned enough that I'm stepping out of Jim's and my own comfort zone to ask for assistance. ALL eligible donations received will go directly to his wife Trina to assist in Jim's absence.
