Help the family of Melissa Erickson

I am putting this fundraiser together to help support the family of one of my best friends as they deal with the unexpected loss of one of their family members. Melissa Erickson was a cherished mother, grandmother, tribal leader, and a dear friend to so many. She was taken too soon by a tragic act of violence, leaving behind her beloved grandson who she has raised since he was born. She was an incredible woman, fiercely independent, full of humor, and generous to all she met. She served as president of Healy Lake Village and was a pillar of her community. Her loss is incomprehensible to those that knew her.

This fundraiser is to raise money for her final arrangements and to honor her in the way she deserved. Funds will be used for funeral expenses, a memorial service, and a potlatch in her honor (a traditional ceremony). Any proceeds left after these needs are met will go to helping take care of Melissa’s beloved young grandson. Any donation will be a huge help to this family and are very much appreciated.
