Help the Evergreen Fund prevent overdose deaths!

MyAlyce is a wearable that will prevent overdose deaths, and is fundraising via The Evergreen Fund, a 501(c)(3) non-profit Public Charity organization so your donations are tax deductible.

MyAlyce

MyAlyce is disrupting the mental health treatment industry. For an industry that is late to adopt technology, they’re creating a wearable that will detect and help prevent overdose deaths. Biometric sensors in their wearable detects and alerts staff at treatment facilities, medical professionals, caregivers and/or family members when physiological emergencies occur. When an overdose happens it’s usually behind a closed door and you have a very short time frame to save someone’s life. The biometric data is integrated into a software frontend that mental health professionals use to enter key metrics they observe in treatment. While quickly alerting nearby people to emergencies, MyAlyce also builds an ever-evolving health profile so people with addiction, depression, PTSD and other mental health issues can monitor and take ownership of their recovery.

Many other use cases exist such as home patient monitoring which is critical as telehealth expands, Elder Care and Police and Firefighter health monitoring.

They believe that with their potentially life-saving software application, wearable device technology, along with everybody working together, they can save tens of thousands of lives. Eventually, they hope to reverse the ongoing mental health and substance abuse crisis.

Your Donation Will Save Lives

The Evergreen Fund and the recovery group they are fostering at the Red Door of Los Angeles are building a community armed with the best scientists, physicians, developers, and ethicists to combat mental illness and substance abuse.

A Year of Crisis

Over the last year alone, more than 100,000 people died from drug overdose according to the CDC. Drug overdose deaths have crossed well over 1 million since 1999, the majority of those due to opiates. The United States is currently facing the worst mental health crisis in history, with the effects of childhood trauma alone costing the US nearly half a trillion dollars. The rates of mental illness were officially at 20% in 2019 with the highest growing rates among youth. The real numbers are likely much higher. Every family is being affected by this.

These are serious problems that require serious people to solve them. You can reach out to the team for more information about the Evergreen Fund, MyAlyce and the Red Door. As an opensource project, all are welcome to help solve these problems.

About the Red Door

Red Door of Los Angeles is providing individualized recovery services for mental illness and primarily substance abuse. They are a burgeoning entrepreneurship & technology incubator. Their projects are centered around integrative holistic health and bringing updated strategies into the recovery world where protocols and methodologies are constantly evolving. This project is built by and for the community, but requires research and development time to fully realize—all of which is currently self-funded. Your donations will help more people, sooner.
