Help the Evans recover from the NW flood
Donation protected
Hi, I'm Carly and I'm raising money to help my sister (Caitie), brother-in-law (Chris), and their 1-year old son (William) recover from the flood that hit their town of Everson, Washington (and much of the Northwest) on November 14th, 15th, and 16th. They just bought and moved into the house (their first!) literally two weeks ago. We are completely devastated.
They are safe now, but there is still an Everson man missing after being seen clinging to a tree. Caitie tells us the worst point was when a search and rescue boat drifted past their house last night (Monday) yelling out for potentially drowned people. As of today (Tuesday), they are still without power, were trapped inside for about 48 hours, and the roads are closed.
Their entire yard flooded - including their crawlspace, and the garage - where they still had boxes from the recent move with valuable items, as well as all of their garage-based items and storage. Everything in the garage was obliterated or lost to the flood. These types of items aren't covered by flood insurance, unfortunately. The damage to the structures remains to be seen.
We will be eternally grateful for any donations to help them recover from the loss. Anything helps - please consider donating to this wonderful family. I will post updates as they become available. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
