Help the Escott Family find more time

“Once a Bison, Always a Bison” is posted throughout campus. We are all connected, no matter how long ago we left campus. Another sign on campus says “Bison Help Bison”.

One of our friends, a fellow Bison, Marc Escott and his family are traveling down a very tough path right now.

This Campaign has been created to help our dear friend and family member, Amy Halloran Escott, pursue a potentially life-saving treatment for colorectal cancer, which she has been battling bravely and relentlessly for more than 3 years.

Amy was first diagnosed in early 2019. Though her early prognosis looked good, the disease continued to advance and spread, eventually progressing to Stage IV metastatic cancer. Over the past 3 years, her treatments have included surgeries, an ostomy, and multiple rounds of chemo and radiation. While she had some short-term successes with these regiments, nothing has proven to be the game-changer that she needs to rid her body of the disease and get her back to normal, everyday life with her loving family.

A new immunotherapy treatment option has surfaced, which is giving Amy renewed hope. Unlike other immunotherapy drugs, this treatment involves the creation of a PERSONALIZED peptide-based vaccine designed SPECIFICALLY and EXCLUSIVELY for each individual patient based on intensive genetic analysis of their blood, urine and tumor samples. The personalized treatment (now known as Neo7Logix) was originally developed by a Dana Farber and Harvard University team and achieved impressive results on over 500 otherwise terminal patients. It is now being advanced and expanded by the founding team member through his company Neo7Bioscience. For more information about this treatment and company, click here. https://dayspringcancerclinic.com/therapies/neo7logix/

Amy and her doctors have spoken with the company and they are in the process of pursuing this hopeful option for her. The challenge with this treatment is the cost. Because the treatment is essentially custom-designed for each individual patient, it cannot be mass-produced like standard drugs, and insurance does not cover it. The cost is likely over $100,000, and will involve out-of-state travel to a partnering cancer center that can administer the treatment.

It is for this reason that this Campaign has been created and that we are seeking any financial assistance you may be able to offer Amy and her family. With her treatment options dwindling, this could be the game-changing, life-saving treatment for which we have all been waiting and praying. Please consider helping Amy and her beautiful family during this time of dire need so that they can have hope and faith of one day returning to the sun-filled, carefree days of life before cancer.

Let’s help our friends Marc, Amy, John and Violet, focus on each other and the time which they have together.
