Hello, my name is Suzy, and I’m reaching out to help the Emery Family during an incredibly difficult time. They recently lost their beloved mother on November 4th, 2025, after a long battle with illness and many hospital stays.
The family has faced not only the emotional toll of this loss but also the financial burden that comes with ongoing medical care, lost wages, and now, the costs of funeral and burial arrangements.
Their mother was a truly special woman — kind, welcoming, and nurturing to everyone she met. She opened her home and heart to many, including my own family. She treated my children and me as if we were her own, and her love and generosity touched so many lives.
We are organizing a fundraiser and silent auction at the forest lake legion to help ease some of the financial strain and give her the beautiful farewell she deserves. Any donations, whether monetary or in the form of silent auction items or gift baskets, are deeply appreciated.
Your support will go directly toward funeral expenses, burial costs, and helping the family recover from the hardships they endured while caring for their mom.
Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and generosity during this time of loss.
With gratitude,
Suzy
A message from April (daughter):
On Tuesday morning at 3:20 a.m., our beloved mother’s long and difficult battle with COPD came to an end. She fought for years with strength, faith, and courage — always putting others before herself, even in the hardest moments.
Our mom had the kindest heart. She opened her home to anyone in need — kids who didn’t have a stable place to stay, neighbors who needed help, friends who were down on their luck. She made sure every person who walked through her door had a warm meal, clean clothes, and a sense of belonging. We used to joke that we always had a “house full of strays,” but she loved each and every one of them like her own. That’s just who she was — giving, selfless, and full of love.
As a family, we’ve spent the last several years by her side through her illness, spending countless nights in the hospital often missing work to care for her and help her through the many ups and downs of COPD. Now that she’s gone, we’re left not only with heartbreak but also the financial burden of funeral and burial costs.
We’re asking for help to give her the farewell she deserves — one filled with love, dignity, and peace. Any contribution, no matter how small, would mean so much to us and help lighten the weight during this incredibly difficult time.
Thank you for your kindness, prayers, and support. Our mother’s love and generosity touched so many lives, and we’re grateful for any help as we honor her memory.
