Help the Islas and Eliosa Family in Oregon

Donation protected

Maria Eliosa, her husband Jesús Islas and their young son Sebastian and Marisol Martinez were asleep in their home in Otis, Oregon along Highway 18 in north Lincoln County. They were awakened by a Deputy Sheriff in the early-morning hours of Wednesday morning yelling "get out now!" Approaching their home two fires merged into one. The Echo Mountain Complex fire grew to 2,400 acres engulfing Rose Lodge and Otis, jumping Highway 18.

With only the clothes on their backs they fled south to Lincoln City and then to Newport, Oregon. Their home burned to the ground along with everything they own. They have literally have nothing left.

The video comes from Dale Voris who was also forced with his parents from Otis.

Initially the best response is to send money so that the family can buy food and clothing. They evacuated to Lincoln City, which was also evacuated, and then to Newport, Oregon.

We are good friends with the family. My wife and Maria worked together at Lincoln County Health and Human Services and she is God Mother to Sebastian . The family cooked for our wedding reception, worked on our home in Logsden, Oregon before we moved to Indianapolis.

Maria and Jesús wish to rebuild their lives and then rebuild their home. Please help if you can.
