Emily, Ryan and Houston have a long road ahead — one they have unfortunately traveled before.

 They evacuated their home in Franklin on Saturday night, March 27, as seven inches of rain swelled the creek behind their house. They returned the next morning to find the water rose even higher than during the historic thousand-year flood of 2010 when they first had to rebuild.

 The furniture is piled up in the muddy front yard, mostly ruined. The floors are caked with sediment. The appliances are caput. The drywall already has its “flood cut” about two feet up, but the extent of the damage is still being determined.

 The Edwards are fortunate to have flood insurance, but it cannot cover all of their losses. This is a great opportunity for friends and family to step in and show their love and support during this financially and emotionally stressful time. Give generously.
