Many of you know Rebecca and Trent Edmunds through youth sports, community events, or simply because they are the kind of people who always show up for others. For over 10 years, they have poured their hearts into coaching, mentoring kids, helping families, and giving back to this community in every way possible. Early Sunday morning around 3 a.m., while they were away in Reno Coaching their Girls basketball team, the Edmunds family lost their home to a devastating fire. Their boys were inside at the time and thankfully were able to escape safely with the animals. Although part of the structure was saved, nearly everything inside was destroyed by severe smoke damage. As if that heartbreak wasn’t enough, their son Talon later lost consciousness and began suffering severe seizures that would not stop. He is currently in the ICU undergoing extensive testing as doctors work to determine the cause, possibly related to smoke inhalation and a concussion.

In true Rebecca and Trent fashion, even in the middle of unimaginable pain, their first response has been gratitude. They have shared how overwhelmed they are by the love, calls, texts, prayers, and offers of support from everyone around them. Right now, they don’t even fully know what they need — they are simply trying to take things one moment at a time.

This family has spent years being there for others during their hardest days. Now it’s our turn to be there for them. Any donation, no matter the amount, will help support the Edmunds family as they navigate medical expenses, temporary housing, clothing, food, and rebuilding after this tragedy.
