Help the Eckart family get back home

Donation protected
This is the Eckart Family. Jonathan Eckart (dad) is a Marine corps veteran that served 2009-2014 and deployed to Afganistan. He currently works for Penske Truck Leasing. Kody Eckart (mom) is a life long resident of the town of Whitestown, and is a stay at home mom of their two sons William (2) and Robert(1). On March 27, 2020 the town of Whitestown had contractors working in the sewer line on the corner of Porter and Buck St. In Legacy Core. Due to the issues in the sewer system and the actions of the workers, The Eckart family suffered a sewage backup into their home on the opposite end of the block. According to the sewer workers from Eco Infrastructure Solutions, 6 blocks of sewage came through the family's kitchen sink and bathroom toilet. After calling the town manager and speaking with him and the sewage department, the family was advised to file a claim with their homeowner’s insurance, and from there the insurance company would go on to recover the damages from the town. After filing a claim with USAA on March 28th, A&D Restoration came in to assess the damages in the home caused by the sewer line workers. At that time the Eckart family was advised to find a hotel and move out the same day, which they did through their insurance. The insurance company let them know 2 days into their hotel stay that they did not have the coverage they initially thought and that they would only cover the family up $10k, including the hotel stay for family of 4, 1 dog, and 1 cat. On April 3rd the family got an estimate of $23615.29 that would not be covered by USAA, their private homeowners insurance company. A&D Restoration also estimated the family would be out of their home for 3 months while it would be restored to a livable condition. The Eckarts made many attempts to contact the town manager and insurance representative to get assistance with the cost to restore the home, and for housing assistance during the peak of the covid-19 crisis - with no response. The family has emptied their emergency funds to keep their family in a hotel and pay the deductible for their private insurance. As of right now A&D restoration has stopped construction on the home leaving the Eckart family home unlivable, exposing the crawl space and having no bathroom or kitchen in the home. The Eckarts are looking into hiring an attorney to help with the legal issues. Their lawyer has requested another $3k to write a letter to the town. At this point in time the family would like to ask for prayers that they will remain housed during the coronavirus pandemic.
