Hi there, my name is Mandy. My husband and I both lost our jobs in October in the same week. My husband was laid off, and I was a victim of an elaborate scam that was already known to the Department of Health, that made the renewal of my nursing license not valid, and because of this, my job for the last 2 and a half years decided to let me go. I have been a nurse for 11 years, and have since legally validated my RN license and was completely supported by the Washington State Board of Nursing. I am currently appealing my termination through my work Union, but was told it could take up to a year or more to know the outcome.

With that being said, my husband started working his new job last week, and I was offered a position with a new

hospital on 11/20, so we have a lot to be thankful for. I unfortunately will not be able to start my new job until 12/15 due to the Thanksgiving holiday and their orientation schedule, and I will not receive my first paycheck until mid-January.

As we have both been without a regular

paycheck since October, my husband and I have used what we had in savings to survive thus far, yet we remain behind on several bills. This GoFundMe is being created in the hopes of helping us pay for our electric, water, phone, dance, football, and rent bills until we will both be receiving regular paychecks again in January.
