Help the Duplice Family Through Medical Crisis

Hi everyone! We are reaching out to the community to see if anyone would be able to help the Duplice family. Shane is a high school educator and coach at Ralston Valley High School in Arvada, CO. Shane also coaches at Jefferson High School in Edgewater, CO. Recently, Shane was diagnosed with a very rare cancerous lung tumor that caused him multiple hospital stays, ambulance rides, 911 calls, and a Lobectomy to remove the part of his lung that housed the tumor. This was an unforeseen emergency surgery that had to occur immediately. In addition, his wife Heather, also an educator, gave birth to their first child just six days after he was discharged from the hospital following his Lobectomy. Shane will also be required to be seen for periodic scans for the remainder of his life.

The Duplice family is not one that asks for much. If it were not for the addition of their first child into their lives, they would not be asking for help. With that said, even with insurance, the cost of multiple procedures, hospital stays, surgery, and the birth of their child has put the Duplice family in a situation where the bills have accumulated greatly. These costs have put such stress on their family, and we are hoping to take some stress off of them. This is where we are hoping others can come in and bridge that gap financially for them. Shane and Heather have made an impact in so many people's lives wherever they have been. We are hoping to raise $15,000 to help offset the current and upcoming medical costs the family will be facing.

At this time, the family is asking for your discretion and privacy at this time. The physical and emotional toll the family is working through has left little capacity for fielding questions and responding to messages.
