This past week, my family was devastated when my brother-in-law lost his life in a workplace incident. Thomas was only 25 years old and just started his job as a heavy equipment mechanic - he was at the beginning of what should have been a long, successful life. Instead, we are left with the memories of a wonderful soul taken from us too soon and the task of planning a funeral for someone far too young to be gone.

Thomas grew up in a home filled with love, so much so that his parents also took in and raised other children in need of a loving home and family. I am not sure if I can remember a day without my Mother-in-law calling me in the morning just to say hello, they truly are wonderful and giving people who raised their children to be the same.

Our family is asking for donations to help off-set some of the immediate estate and funeral costs, and to help with living expenses for Thomas’ parents, while they try to make sense of this tragedy. We have set a goal of $10 000 in order to ease the financial burden on my wife’s parents in the immediate time and until any settlement is reached. Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated and any funds not used will be put in trust for Thomas’ nieces and nephews. Thank you for your time.
