Help the Dressin Family
Thank you for reading this and being willing to help Brian and his family at this time. Our Brother-in-law and friend needs help as he was diagnosed this past April with stage 4 cancer and his family can't keep up with their finances.
Brian's wife Rachel put it best in this post...
Our world was put into a tailspin when Brian went to Patient First not feeling well in April of 2022. His blood pressure was extremely low, and his heart rate was extremely high. We went to the ER to find out that he might have cancer and just a few weeks later, the diagnosis was confirmed- cholangiocarcinoma. We were told that it is advanced. That was a punch in the gut! Fifty-seven liters of fluid have been drained from Brian’s abdominal lining. He has had hospital stays, multiple blood, iron, potassium, and magnesium infusions, and many rounds of chemo and immunotherapy. This might not be curable, but luckily it is treatable. Each day is a struggle. The fatigue is real- mentally and physically. Brian is not giving up, but he cannot work anymore, which puts a strain on things. We wanted people to know what life has been like in the Dressin household. We don’t like asking for help. We don’t even know what to ask for. We are the ones that help others.
You can read more here at https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/briandressin/journal, to see where they are today, but things are dire for the family, and they need immediate financial support and eventually long-term support as well. These direct funds will be used to pay their overdue and current bills and enable them to get by over the next two months until Brian's disability, which has been approved, kicks in, hopefully in the next few months. We are also working on a long-term plan which includes helping to secure funds going toward 529 college savings plans for their three sons, ages 15, 12, and 7. If you can help with the long-term funding, please email jmfineblum@yahoo.com
Thank you for your advance support, and please get in touch with us with any questions as the family goes through this difficult time.
