Dianne Dorman and her family are facing an unimaginable loss after the recent passing of her son, Blake Dorman. Blake was not only my old college roommate, but also a dear friend whose kindness and compassion touched everyone he met. At just 24 years old, Blake’s life was a testament to serving others—he cared deeply for friends, family, and even strangers, always going out of his way to help anyone in need.
Now, Dianne and her family are left with the difficult task of honoring Blake’s memory. They must cover the costs to transport him to north Texas for a service, and then again to Virginia for a second service and burial, where he will be laid to rest with his grandparents and father. These expenses, on top of the emotional burden, are overwhelming for Dianne and her family as they navigate this heartbreaking time.
The funds raised here will go directly toward funeral and transportation costs, helping Dianne and her family give Blake the loving farewell he deserves. Blake lived his life by loving others and following the example of Jesus. I’m asking that those who knew him, or anyone moved by his story, consider helping his mom and family cover these expenses. Any support—whether through a donation, sharing this fundraiser, or offering kind words—means the world to Dianne, her family, and all who loved Blake.
