My name is Gina Vidal. I am trying to raise money to help my sister Christine and her family a new couch and a new bed for her and her husband.
My sister Christine lives in Georgia. Hundreds of miles from myself and my other sister Sarah. She has three girls and married to a wonderful man. In January she had her eighth major back surgery causing her to be stuck in bed for the next few weeks afterwards. At this time my mother was also living with Christine. There was a lot of hardship going on already but then my mother was hospitalized in February for COVID and died on March sixth. At present the only income is Brian, my sister's husband, and even his income has been cut due to COVID.
Their couch is breaking at all areas making it hard for people to sit down on. Most of the time people are stuck in their rooms due to the seating area in the living room. My sister's bed is broken. Brian's side of the bed is half sided. Both need a better bed for their physical health.
I have never created a Go Fund Me before. I don't even know if this is worth it but I'm giving it a shot anyway.
My sister is in emotional and physical pain. Her husband works 12 hour days six days a week. Christine unable to walk much is unable to keep up with the housework. We are all grieving the loss of our mother adding an additional stress of living in these times. There are so many barriers to getting the support they need; to have this help would be a relief for all of us.
Sarah and I worry about her everyday. We have tried to offer help but we too are limited in what we can do.
I figure $2000 is enough to get her a bed and possibly a decent couch.
Help Sarah and I help my sister Christine and her family get some relief.
