A few months ago, I was challenged to raise funds for Jump for Chai, a kids-helping-kids initiative that supports families battling serious illnesses. Your generosity taught me something very important: while one person can make a difference, together we can make a bigger one.
With my Bar-Mitzvah around the corner, I’m inspired to do it again, this time for Lost Boys Hope, a nonprofit that strives to reduce the over-population of dogs by finding homes for strays and unwanted dogs. Most of the dogs Lost Boys Hope rescues are from First Nations reserves in Northern Manitoba, where vet care and food are scarce. Dogs are left to breed, causing extreme overpopulation.
We recently adopted a puppy from this amazing group. In a short time, Leonard has wiggled his way into our hearts.
Lost Boys is volunteer-run, and the money they receive for adoptions only covers a portion of the operating costs. They rely heavily on the generosity and the compassion of supporters through donations and fundraising events to cover the remainder of their expenses.
So I’d like to ask for your help one more time.
Lost boys has recently taken in two litters of sick puppies and transferred in 18 more adults and several pups. Almost all the dogs need immediate medical care, including vaccines and wellness checks. Some have injuries and illnesses that need urgent care.
As a dog lover and rescue owner, supporting this cause is important to me.
Would you join me in donating to this important cause?
Every donation—even $20—will make a difference!
Thank you so much for considering joining me in helping a wonderful organization that brought Leonard to our family.
Thank you,
Evan
