Help the Djalu's family with caring costs.

We recently got word from Djalu’s niece Miriam Yirrininba Dhurrkay about the tough times that the family are facing.
Djalu is currently being treated in Darwin with members of his family supporting him. Those family members are encountering many issues.... for example trying to find and afford accommodation while they are there. The initial funds can help with that issue.
When this fundraiser started we even hoped that we could raise some additional funds to help the family cover the costs of visiting Djalu in hospital in Darwin.
However with a great spirit of optimism, we have conjured an audacious goal!
The goal is to be able to afford to adapt Djalu's home with things such as hand rails and ramps etc. as has been advised by his critical care nurse. They can't release him from hospital if he is not going to suitable accommodation. We aim to make his house suitable for him to be able to continue his treatment at home. On the land of his ancestors of which he is a custodian.
So we in turn call out to the didjeridoo community to ask for your support. Any help you can give IS significant, it adds up to being something that can change lives. And Djalu's life has been remarkable both in it's positive impact on many Balanda but also on the positive presentation of the Yolngu people to the wider world.
Many of our lives are the richer for having the Didgeridoo in it and this is a wonderful opportunity to pay a little back in a most powerful and timely way.
