Help the Diminos through Juniper's NICU Stay

Donation protected
The wonderful Dimino family could use our help and support as they navigate a NICU stay with their sweet daughter, Juniper.

Juniper's due date was set for December 1st, 2021, and Hannah and Mike planned to have a home birth with their beautiful girl. But as October came Hannah started to have some medical concerns arise with preeclampsia symptoms. As her symptoms worsened, her midwife got concerned. They reached a point where they legally had to transfer Hannah's care to the hospital, and at 35 weeks Hannah and Mike faced the stress of finding a new care team for these serious medical concerns. As Hannah symptoms worsened, her new care team decided it would be safest to induce delivery. After 2 days of excruciating labor, Juniper James Dimino was born 11/10/21 at 8:20am.

Juniper was exactly 37 weeks at delivery, and after a traumatic birth, with the cord around her neck two times and the stress of delivery, Juniper was rushed to the NICU. She was given support to help her breathe, and she was monitored closely as the traumatic birth left Juniper’s head damaged with a brain bleed.

Over the last week, Juniper has faced momentous challenges. After a day she was able to breathe on her own. But they monitored her blood sugar levels, weight loss, brain bleed, and jaundice with concern. As she fought to heal, her blood sugar levels and jaundice slowly improved. Hannah and Mike were told they may be able to take her home the next day! Then on 11/14, Juniper rapidly spiked a fever of 101 degrees and got lethargic, so they rushed her to the ICU. She has been improving on antibiotics, and the medical team is still evaluating what the cause may be. As Juniper continues to improve, Hannah and Mike are cautiously optimistic that they may be able to bring Juniper home soon and continue treatment and evaluation through outpatient procedures. But things change rapidly, and it is hard to know what each day could hold.

On top of all this for Juniper, Hannah is healing from hemorrhaging post-birth while having to drive back and forth to the hospital daily to be with Juniper. Mike has dealt with the stress of having to return to work on Monday 11/15- which means he has to be away from Hannah and Juniper as they navigate Juniper's hospital stay.

With all these unexpected medical bills and stressful circumstances, Hannah and Mike could use our love and support to ease the burden. Please help us care for their tangible needs by donating to help them cover all these unexpected costs. And please pray for this sweet family as they navigate challenge after challenge with strength and hope! Thank you for your love and care for Hannah, Mike, and Juniper!
