❤️ Help Tara Fight Stage 4 Colon Cancer
My name is Brandon Dietz, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my wife, my partner, my best friend — Tara. She is the most special person I have ever known. Tara is the heart of our home, the mother of our beautiful daughter Ryleigh, and the beloved “mom” to our four bulldogs. She is the best thing that has ever happened to me, and now she is facing the biggest battle of her life.
How It Started
On February 15th, Tara wasn’t feeling well. The pain became so intense she could barely stand. I took her to the hospital, and doctors initially suspected IBS — something we had been told before. They scheduled an MRI for the following day, just to be safe.
That MRI changed our lives.
Doctors found a 22cm mass in her left ovary — nearly 9 inches. Even more devastating, a second mass of similar size was found on her right ovary, along with another mass on her colon. Her colon was 98% blocked, explaining her severe pain.
Everything moved fast.
Emergency Surgery
On February 24th, Tara underwent major surgery.
Doctors removed both ovarian masses, her ovaries, fallopian tubes, and a portion of her colon. All tissue was sent to pathology. Tara remained at UPMC Memorial for a week to recover.
The results came back during her stay — results that shattered us.
The Diagnosis
My beautiful wife, at just 42 years of age, has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer.
We are now at the beginning of a long, difficult journey — one I unfortunately know too well, having walked this road before with my own mother. But this time, it’s my partner. My world. Our daughter’s mother.
And I refuse to give up.
Why We’re Asking for Help
We are a family of three… technically seven if you count our bulldogs, who are very much part of our tribe. This diagnosis has turned our world upside down. Tara will need extensive treatment, ongoing medical care, time off work, and long-term recovery support.
Any donation — truly, any amount — will help ease the financial burden of medical bills, travel to appointments, treatment costs, and everyday expenses as we navigate this battle together.
From Our Family to Yours
We are fighters. We’re staying hopeful. And we’re holding on tightly to the love we’ve built over the years.
If you can help — whether through a donation or by sharing this page — we are deeply, genuinely grateful.
I will continue to post updates as we move forward.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for standing with us.
Now we fight.
