On 17th March 2021, my Godmother Dympna and my cousin Michael lost their home to a house fire.  Thankfully no one was hurt, but the family home, has been destroyed.

 While the house insurance will partially assist in rebuilding the physical structure of the house, all of their belongings and memories of a home that was shared by three generations from the Devereux Family, to Dympna's late husband Anthony and her two sons Damien and Michael has been destroyed.

 Dympna is greatly loved and adored by her two sons Damien and Michael, daughter in law Fiona, her grandchildren, her close family and friends and although  she is a very private lady she now needs our help.

 I am setting up this appeal to allow for family and friends to show their support in helping her build her life back as there will be an inevitable shortfall in the insurance.

 It is absolutely heartbreaking to see a home that has so many fond memories destroyed. Dympna was always there for my family, brought us on many summer holidays and always welcomed us with open arms to her home.

 
While our emotional support is of comfort to Dympna and extended to Damien & Michael,  the reality of needing financial assistance to cover unexpected expenses that will not be covered by insurance, is where we all can help.
