Help the Detruf family through difficult times.

A sudden loss has changed this family's life forever while their son Dom was away on vacation. It was his first trip to Disney World, the afternoon of July 26th, 2025.

TJ Detruf (husband of Jennifer Detruf & Father of Dom Detruf) unexpectedly passed away at home. While spending a relaxing afternoon with Jennifer and his father-in-law, TJ suffered a medical emergency while in their family pool and tragically passed away. Dom was rushed home from Florida with the help of Southwest Airlines and Walt Disney World. The entire family comforted each other at home in Greensburg, Pennsylvania that same evening.

TJ is a well known friend and football coach in the community. He previously coached at Jeannette High School where growing up he was their quarterback. Most recently, he has been an integral part of the Penn Trafford Football coaching staff as well as mentored many children outside of his coaching positions. His son Dom is the quarterback for The Hempfield Area Spartan football team

( #11 ) and is following in his Dad's footsteps leading his team into his Senior year. The mental toughness and determination TJ instilled in Dom is like no other. Dom joined his team at practice just two days after TJ's passing knowing that's what his Dad would want.

With expenses such as medical/ambulance bills, funeral items, and lost wages Jennifer and Dom could use any help offered.
