Help the Desmole Family

Dear LFSF community,
As many of you know, William Desmole's 24-year old son Kevin was recently diagnosed with a Cerebral Lymphoma, a type of blood cancer.
While attending the Lausanne Polytechnic Institute in Switzerland, Kevin was out for a run and had a seizure. The doctors found a tumor on his brain and they have partially removed it. Not only has his cognition been affected, but Kevin must now have round-the-clock care while undergoing chemo treatment in Switzerland. His family will take turns going back and forth to Switzerland in order to help with care and psychological support for Kevin. In the process they will have to pay for flights, lodging, food, car rental. This ordeal has put a tremendous financial burden on the Desmole family. William is a fixture at the Lycée and has always supported our children to achieve their best in sports and Judo. Kevin has also done his schooling at the Lycée, he has been William's assistant for the Judo classes, as well as some of the camps. William has been committed to the Lycée community for 13 years and we now ask for your help in this time of need. The campaign goal is based on the finances of the next 6 months so they can cope with lost income. This is a minimum. Any financial donation would be greatly appreciated, no matter how small. This money will go directly towards travel, lodging, and ongoing medical expenses for their son. Don't hesitate to reach out to William to voice your support!
Kevin is 24 years old. He's been at the Lausanne Polytechnic Institute (EPFL) for 5 years, and he is now in the first year of the 2-year Master section. For a total of 7 years. This current situation might delay his studies. He's been fascinated with complex and advanced mechanical clockwork at EPFL. He's also been interested in advanced robotics and related management studies. He will have to delay this semester's work and testing, and push it back to next year.
