Hello everyone,

For those of you that don't know who I am; my name is Marki Van Zandt, and Raymond DeShazer was one of my best friends. It is with a heavy heart that his family and I inform you all that he has lost his long and arduous battle with sickness and passed on the morning of February 8th, 2023 at home, with his wife and kids by his side. He had many visitors (in person and video chat) who laughed and cried with him in his last few days of life. He spit fire the whole way through and I wouldn't expect anything else. He ate good food, and took comfortable naps. He was surrounded with love and I thank any and all of you who chose to be a part of it. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

I have started this crowd fundraiser in hopes to help alleviate some of the finacial burden Joanna, Max, Sam, and Neesa will incur. Unfortunately, losing a loved one can quickly turn into a financial hardship, and it is my goal, as well as many others, to keep that from happening to Jojo.
