Help The Den Say Goodbye

Donation protected
This sucks, but The Den is closing its doors at the end of January 2023. We've loved the journey and we are so sad to have to say goodbye, but unfortunately, we can't find a way to keep things going. If you haven't watched our video about it please do. All January shows are still a go, but all shows scheduled after the end of the month are canceled.

We want to thank all of the people who have helped us along the way, all of the bands who have played our stage, and everyone who came out to a show. It means the world to have had so much support and comradery. It's still our heart to see the local Prescott music and art scene and the scene throughout Arizona thrive. We believe in all of you still chasing your dreams. We will just have to find other ways to support you all going forward.

The past three years have been a crazy ride. We came up against a lot of challenges (almost too many to count), but we always tried our best to fight through them. Signing our lease right before Covid hit in 2020 was a leap we took even though we had no idea what was coming. So many of you helped us keep our doors open during that season by participating in our Kickstarter. It was wild to see that be a success! And a big shout out to Vans Shoes for having us be a part of your Foot the Bill program. Partnering in that way at that time was a huge dream come true. The shoes and t-shirts were sick as heck and we will still sport them proudly. Also, we know that so many people donated their time to help out whether it was at the door, behind the soundboard, or behind a broom. You have enlarged our hearts with your kindness, humility, and generosity. You know who you are and we love you.

So what now? Now we start the ugly process of closing which means a few different things. We acquired quite a bit of debt trying to get the building up to code, pay for the necessary insurance and equipment, as well as do the necessary changes for the coffee shop (even though we still fell short) while still paying our employees to help us with shows. That is why we are reaching out to all of you. If you would like to help us pay our contractors and lenders back, even with a small donation, that would be a giant help. None of the money is going to go to us personally. Also, we are trying to sell everything in The Den including all of the furniture, the sound and coffee equipment, the tvs, the point of sale system, the fridges etc. If you are interested in purchasing any of the items please reach out to us. It is first come first serve, but any sale helps to pay the contractors. ALSO, we are selling all of the merch for 50% off. So you can purchase t-shirts, hoodies, hats, and beanies at any January show or we can ship. Check our website for the sizes we have left. Everything has to go.

This is a sad time for us because we wish we could keep going to bring you all more shows and the full vision of the coffee shop and half pipe. However, in all of our deliberations, we just don't see a way forward and are insanely bummed. Being a part of the scene in Arizona in the way we have been has shown us the beauty of the community in new ways. We are so proud to have gone on this journey with you all.

We will forever hold the memories made near and dear. You all are the best!

Much love,

The Den
