My best friend's mom and two brothers lost everything they own, including their three fur baby kittens, in a devastating fire on July 2nd in Kailua, HI.

They only have the clothes on their backs- there was not a room untouched by the flames. Along with all of their possessions, that we can hopefully help them start to replace with this gofundme, they lost all of the sentimental items and journals that were their dad's who passed away suddenly about four years ago. They are devastated by the loss of everything, especially their fur babies and those items that will never be able to be replaced.

They still do not know how the fire started, they think it was electrical; it’s still being investigated. They noticed smoke coming from one room and in minutes the whole house was engulfed in flames. Her mom and one of her brothers tried to find their six month old kittens but had to quickly flee because it was spreading so fast. Her mom tried to run back in to keep looking for them but the smoke was so heavy she couldn’t make it past the entryway.

This family has been through so much the past four years and they need our help along with the communities' help to rebuild their lives and start replacing what they can. Unfortunately they do not have renters insurance so they are having to start all over with only the help of family and friends. By donating you are helping them to replace items, like clothing, furniture, work equipment/tools, mattresses, bedding, dinnerware, kitchen appliances, laptops, etc.
