My name is Mia Thorsen and I am raising funds for my closest friend and her family after losing their beautiful Altadena home to the Eaton fire. The De La Torre's are lifelong Pasadena residents and are pillars of the community. Rosa has selflessly worked for the city of Pasadena for decades, and Fausto has uplifted the local community through his work as a boxing coach and with the Villa Park community center. They have worked so hard to create a beautiful life for their two children, Eliana (22) in graduate school and Fausto (18), who still lives with the family, as well as providing for Angelina, Fausto's senior mother. This family has never closed their doors to anyone. Even as the disaster began, their priorities were with the safety of our community as they are both emergency workers, working at evacuation shelters and Public Works. I have shared countless meals and holidays with them and am so incredibly grateful. They have spent much of their lives ensuring the safety, comfort, and health of those around them and in the city in general. Please consider supporting this selfless family after devastation.
