This is my sweet sister April and her beautiful family. They were all struck with covid mid December of this year and are all home now still trying to heal from it. Duane, my brother in law, was hit the worst. Duane is one of the friendliest, giving of whatever he can, hardest worker we know, kind of person. He owns his own residential painting company and does his job quickly and beautifully. It will be months before he will be able to get back to doing what he does. He spent two weeks in the hospital on large amounts of oxygen, and medication fighting for his life. Fortunately he was able to come home to be with his family for Christmas. It will be a long road to recovery but he’s forging on. He’s still on oxygen and his cognitive skills are delayed. Just getting up and around the house takes all of his energy. He still doesn’t have an appetite and has lost a massive amount of weight, but is pushing through it. He is the sole bread winner for his family but April is doing what she can to provide financially. However, it’s going to take more than what’s coming in with all of the medical bills piling up.
