On May 11—Mother’s Day—dear family friends of mine, the Davies Family, lost their home in a devastating house fire. They’re people who have always felt like a second family to me, and seeing them go through this is deeply painful to witness.

While we’re grateful that everyone made it out safely, they lost nearly everything else—clothes, personal items, their vehicles, and the place they’ve called home for years. Most heartbreakingly, their beloved cat George didn’t survive the fire. He was a deeply loved part of their family, and his loss has only added to the grief they’re carrying.

This GoFundMe is a way to offer support to them as they begin to rebuild. Funds will go toward temporary housing, replacing essentials, and helping cover costs insurance may not fully meet.
