Help The Cugini Family Care for Mother with Terminal Cancer
Donation protected
We create this GoFund me in support of the Cugini family, as they navigate an incredibly difficult time. Their beloved mother, Noreen Carson, was diagnosed with terminal hepatocellular carcinoma in 2021. This diagnosis has been a devastating blow to their family, but they have been doing everything possible to care for her and support her through this challenging journey.
Noreen has always been the heart and soul of the family. As an attentive single mom, she poured everything she had into raising her two daughters, Mary and Caitlin. She worked tirelessly, often juggling multiple jobs, to provide for them and ensure they had the opportunities to succeed—putting both daughters through college and always prioritizing their well-being.
In addition to her dedication to her family, Noreen was an active member of her community. She volunteered at Our Lady’s Church in Newton, offering her time and compassion to others in need. Her selflessness and unwavering love have shaped her daughters into the people they are today.
Noreen’s two daughters, Mary and Caitlin, have been at the forefront of her care. Mary, a dedicated neuro stepdown nurse at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical, has used her medical knowledge to help manage her mother’s care. Caitlin, a student aide at Underwood Elementary School in Newton, has balanced work and caregiving duties, all while continuing to support her mother emotionally and physically. They have dedicated themselves to managing her medical care, supporting her financially, and doing everything in their power to ensure her comfort during this time.
Over the past few years, they have faced the overwhelming weight of medical bills, ongoing treatments, and financial hardship as they prioritized Noreen’s well-being. Despite their best efforts, the costs have continued to rise, making it difficult to maintain a sense of normalcy for the family. This GoFundMe is a way for us to ask for help from our community as they continue to care for their mother, ease her burden, and navigate the financial challenges that come with terminal illness.
Every contribution, no matter how big or small, will go directly towards medical expenses, living costs, financial support to Noreen’s daughters and supporting Noreen’s care. Your kindness and generosity mean the world to The Cugini Family as they continue to walk this difficult path together. Thank you for being a part of our journey.
