Help the Cuervos Bring Ariana Home

We are the Cuervos on an adoption journey to bring our second daughter, Ariana, home from Colombia. We have been walking this path for approximately five years (way before Ariana was born) and have been immensely blessed throughout. When we first started the adoption process, we knew it would be like preparing for a marathon (not that we run in this household, hahaha, but endurance, grit, and resilience were going to be fundamental). Now that we are matched with Ariana, we have shifted our mentality to sprint mode. The paperwork, the multistep instructions, and the dreadful waiting periods have been so many and hard. But our “encuentro” (encounter) date given to us by El Bienestar Familiar (ICBF), aka the Colombian Government is May 19

We will have to travel to Colombia for approximately 4 weeks. The first week will be at Yopal (Ariana's home city). Then the four of us will travel to La Mesa, where we have to claim residency (14 days) and wait for a court hearing to finalize the adoption. Once that is completed, we have to spend one week in Bogota finalizing documents in the US embassy.

No money amount can pay for our immense happiness of bringing Ariana home. For all other expenses, we turn to savings and our village. Given the extension of our journey, we have been faced with additional expenses, and this home stretch will be the most pricey.
